Ellen's Gay! What?

Why are people judging gay marriages? I dont think that people should be discriminated with who they really are and why they are like the way they are. For example, the Ellen show is one of my favorite daytime t.v. shows because she is such a wonderful and an amazing person who is always giving away money for charities and foundations to help people in a lower income. I have watched almost all of her shows and I dont understand why people have to comment negatively towards her and her show because she's gay. Also, she had alot of disappointing viwers when she came out and annoyced she was getting married to a women. It should not matter if you are gay or straight to have your own t.v. show without being critized everyday. Throughout the years, Ellen has improved with her shows and more people participating in her shows has made Ellen feel better about herself. Later on she was annoced that see was ingaged to a women named Portia who she was with for a couple of years and she thought that it was the right time to get married no matter what anyone said. Women and Sex In The Media

Why are advertisers using women as objects to sell their products to people? In today's society you can see that in certain advertisments women are being portrayed and used for their good looks and sexy body's as you can see in the far picture to the left. I dont understand why advertisers have to use women as a toy and center of attention. For example, in some beer advertisements women are seen standing under the man with their mouth wide open drinking the beer. Which symbolizes she goes down easiely. But we all know that it's because they want people to buy their product and make money off of it. As you can see in the picture a man is standing over a women who is sunbathing shadowing her and trying to get her to drink so that he can get what he wants. I think it's inappropriate to see women being used or substituded for an object because as for me being a women; I dont think that the media should advertise women like this because it makes women viewers think that it's ok to look and act like a sex toy when it comes to a man and easily giving him what he wants. Women don't understand that when they play a role like this in the media, it ruins their identity as being a female. For example, when women put on a certain act just to make money viewers will start to think differently of her and that she does'nt have any power or dignity. Women do have a right to say "no" and walk away because they know that it's not fair for them to be treated the way that men are treating them. I know that some viewers like to see women as objects because it turns them on and think that its a good way to advertise a product by referring to sex. How do you feel when you look at this picture? Do you think that it's ok for advertisers to display women like this through the media?
